McCandless police and SWAT teams responded to Ringeisen Road around 4 p.m. for the developing situation.

Police tell us someone fired shots from within one home — leaving visible bullet damage outside of the home and also damaging a home next door.

Channel 11 has learned Sean Yakelis, 41, was taken into custody. Police say Yakelis fired at least 10 rounds through his house, into a neighbor’s house, with some of the bullets hitting a child’s bedroom.

The neighbor showed us the bullet holes and damaged glass inside her dining room. No one from her home was hurt by the gunfire.

Neighbors tell us there have been several police calls involving the home from where shots were fired.

State police posted a bright-colored warning sign on the front door of Yakelis’ house.

It says, “A clandestine laboratory for the manufacture of illegal drugs and/or hazardous chemicals was seized at this location.”

State police said their Hazmat unit seized items from the house that are being sent to a lab.
