2 people hurt in Harmar Township crash

HARMAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Two people were hurt in a crash on a busy Allegheny County road on Saturday morning.

An Allegheny County 911 dispatch official says police, fire and EMS responded to a crash on Freeport Road near Alpha Drive E at 10:25 a.m.

A Channel 11 crew on scene saw two cars being towed away and first responders cleaning debris off the roadway.

The dispatch official said two people were taken to area hospitals from the crash.

The northbound lanes of Freeport Road at Alpha Drive E were shut down while first responders were on cleaning up.
