PITTSBURGH — Former Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit patients and their families reunited Sunday with the nurses and staff that helped care for them.
The 12th Annual NICU Reunion was held at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, where 200 former patients like Jeanna Anetakis' daughter Izzy celebrated beating the odds.

"We are just here to celebrate our miracle and to celebrate with all the amazing nurses and doctors," said Anetakis.
Izzy weighed 2 pounds, 7 ounces at birth. She has since grown to be a healthy 2-year-old.
"We have some friends here who were our little NICU buddies. They were in the NICU with us and it's so great to see everybody flourishing and doing so well," said Anetakis.
Former Magee NICU patients in attendance at Sunday's event ranged in age from 4 months to teenage years.
At the end of the reunion, a group photo was taken to mark the occasion.
