PITTSBURGH — Six years ago Saturday, Pittsburgh lost three of its finest while they responded to a domestic call in Stanton Heights.

Officers Eric Kelly, Paul Sciullo and Stephen Mayhle were shot and killed April 4, 2009.
Flowers and plaques honored the fallen officers Saturday during a ceremony held outside the Zone 5 police station.

Richard Poplawski, the man convicted of murdering the officers, was sentenced to death in 2011. An execution date has not been set.
