PITTSBURGH — A young chef’s collaboration with a Pittsburgh restaurant raised over $1,000 for a good cause.

Channel 11 first told you about Prince, a 9-year-old heart transplant recipient and Wish Kid, back in October when he collaborated with Fairmont Pittsburgh Chef Fernando Canales to create a Crab Cake Sandwich.

“I just love making food, and ever since I was a baby I was making food for my mom. And now I have a real chance to make real food with a chef. It’s like one of my dreams,” Prince said.

That dish, which supports Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, has been on Floor 2′s menu for the last two months. Make-A-Wish officials say sales from the sandwich have raised $12,000 for the organization.
