92-year-old man killed, another man seriously injured in Butler County car crash

CLAY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 92-year-old man was killed and a 21-year-old man was seriously injured in a crash in Clay Township.

According to the Pennsylvania state police, the crash happened at 11:38 p.m. around 1115 W Sunbury Road (State Route 308) on Friday.

Police said a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling southbound and for unknown reasons crossed left of center and hit a Ford F-150XL T. Both cars then went to an “uncontrolled rest.”

According to the police report, both men involved in the crash were trapped in their vehicles. The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 92-year-old Norman Jacaszek from Glenshaw, was found dead in his car and was “heavily entrapped.” Police said he had significant blunt force injury all over his body.

The other driver, 21-year-old Nicolas Michielli from Allison Park, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital and had serious injuries. There’s no word on his current condition.
