PITTSBURGH — The two-year-old ACC Network, which carries Atlantic Coast Conference sporting events, including Pitt athletics, will finally become available on Comcast’s Xfinity cable service.

The arrival of ACC Network is part of a larger overall carriage renewal agreement between telecommunications/entertainment behemoths The Walt Disney Company and Comcast, parent of NBCUniversal.

There is no specific timetable for when ACCN and its telecasts of Pitt basketball games will become available to Xfinity customers beyond “the coming weeks.” Comcast’s announcement did not include a channel number or information on which Xfinity tiers ACCN will be available on.

ACCN is already carried locally by Verizon’s FiOS TV and it’s also available from live streaming services AT&T TV, fuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV.
