Acrisure will donate $7.5 million to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for its heart and cardiac program in what UPMC officials say is the largest corporate gift ever to the UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The funding will go to increase the Heart Institute’s clinical care and research, recruitment of physicians and scientists, and state of the art technology. This gift will step up further the clinical care available and the research to bedside advances, said UPMC Children’s Hospital President Diane Hupp.
