ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A bar in Aliquippa is enforcing new rules after a man was shot there over the weekend.
.Police said a man was shot during an argument at Kendrew’s Lounge on the 2500 block of Brodhead Road at 12:32 a.m. on Sunday.

Kendrew’s Lounge’s owners, Pam and Marcy Kendrew, said they have spent the past week working on different ways to keep customers safe.
“We just wanted to let all of our customers know that we have been in meetings all week & have come up with a few different changes that will be effective immediately to create a calmer, and safer environment to ease the minds of all our customers & staff while at our establishment. Your safety is our #1 goal from here on out & we will do everything in our power to ensure that you will feel that as you come in,” a statement from the business said.
Moving forward, the following rules will be in place at the business:
- Weapons and drugs are prohibited.
- Backpacks or large bags are prohibited.
- All other bags are subject to search. Customers are encouraged to leave bags in their vehicles.
- No hoods are allowed to be worn while entering the establishment.
The owners said the shooting caused a traumatic week.
“Thank you for your patience & understanding through all of this,” Pam and Marcy Kendrew said, “We have been a family here at Kendrew’s Lounge for 41 years and we want to thank each and every one of you for supporting us throughout our time here and being a part of this family we have created over the years! We hope to only make amazing memories with everyone from here on out!”
More changes could be implemented at the business in the future. The owners said anyone with concerns can contact them directly.
