PITTSBURGH — People gathered outside of the city-county building in Downtown Pittsburgh to celebrate the international day of transgender visibility.

Transgender people shared stories and told the gathered crowd about their experiences thanks to an open podium.

The day takes place on March 31 every year and is meant to celebrate trans and non-binary people and to also raise awareness of discrimination.

The #iamenough campaign was the highlight of this year and is centered around affirmation and empowerment. Its aim is to provide a message of strength, resilience and community to trans-people.

Sisters PGH hosted the event and it was welcome to the public.
