PITTSBURGH — Squirrel Hill’s Eat’n Park is in its last day of business as they get ready to close their doors for the last time.
Earlier this month, Eat’n Park announced that the central location on Murray Avenue would be shutting down.
“Eat’n Park has made the difficult decision to permanently close our Squirrel Hill restaurant on Monday, Jan. 24 at 5 p.m.,” Courtney Caprara, a spokesperson for the Homestead-based restaurant company, said. “We are grateful to our team members for creating smiles for our friends and neighbors in the Squirrel Hill community for the past 45 years.”

Across the street and a block away was another popular breakfast place that closed last month.
Pamela’s Diner closed its original location on Murray Avenue at the end of 2021.
There’s no word yet on why the Eat’n Park closed permanently.
Caprara thanked the restaurant’s customers for supporting it as long as they had. “To our guests in the Squirrel Hill community — whether you started your day with us, ended your evening with us, or visited anytime in between — we are grateful you chose Eat’n Park. At a time of staffing shortages at most restaurants, Caprara also added that “all team members will be offered continuous employment within Eat’n Park Hospitality Group.”
