The Lincoln County, Nevada District Attorney will be filing murder charges against John Chapman for allegedly killing Jaime Feden and leaving her body in the desert outside Las Vegas.
Feden was last seen by her friends and family in Bethel Park on Sept. 15 before taking a trip to Las Vegas with Chapman. Investigators believe she was killed on Sept. 25, but her body was not discovered until Oct. 5. From there, it took more than a month to positively identify her remains.

Since November, investigators from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI have been surveying the land to determine if she was killed on public or private land and determine which organization would have jurisdiction and be responsible for filing charges.
This week, land survey results showed that the area where Feden’s body was found is private and therefore Lincoln County Sheriff Kerry Lee and the district attorney have jurisdiction.
During several conversations with Channel 11′s Amy Hudak, Lee has said that murder charges will be filed against Chapman once the jurisdictional investigation is complete. Those charges are expected in the next several days.
