PITTSBURGH — Leaders cut the ribbon for the new UPMC Mercy Pavilion on Thursday morning.

The new pavilion will house the UPMC Vision and Rehabilitation institutes.
This is UPMC’s first newly constructed facility in 11 years.
According to a news release, the facility will offer patient-centered care in vision medicine and rehabilitation medicine to local patients and patients from around the world.
UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh will conduct research to advance treatments for patients in the pavilion.
