PITTSBURGH — More streets in Downtown Pittsburgh will be closing to allow restaurants and bars to expand their outdoor dining throughout the Golden Triangle area, according to the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.
Business will be able to serve customers while adhering to COVID-19 safety, occupancy and cleaning requirements.

The first streets that will be closed down include:
- 6th Street from Liberty Avenue to Fort Duquesne Blvd.
- Strawberry Way between Smithfield Street and Grant Street
- Penn Avenue between 9th Street and 10th Street
- Market Square

This initial plan impacts 72 restaurants and other nearby businesses, and will be in place by early July.
Officials said the streets will remain closed until mid to late October and pavement markings and signs will be changed in those areas. There are also plans to expand this plan to include other areas Downtown through the summer.
