ZELIENOPLE, Pa. — An Amazon delivery driver is accused of attacking a police officer in Butler County.

Jaala Bivins, 24, was charged with aggravated assault causing bodily injury and resisting arrest on Dec. 11.

Court documents allege Bivins blocked traffic with her Amazon van near W. Grandview Avenue and N. Clay Street in Zelienople during rush hour.

When an officer in the area directing traffic because of a disabled vehicle told Bivins to move her van, she reportedly refused to do so and instead began scanning packages.

Then, after arguing with officers about moving the van and providing her ID so she could be cited for a traffic violation, the court documents state she resisted arrest.

During a struggle to put her in handcuffs, Bivins bit one officer on the finger, “breaking the skin slightly.”
