State police say a man shot and killed his wife in an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday in Armstrong County.
Trenton Johns was in a “domestic altercation” with his wife, a 28-year-old woman from Kittanning, around 6 p.m. in a residence along Elkin Road in Boggs Township. As she was leaving, he pulled out a gun and shot her from behind, according to state police. He then shot himself.
