Baby boy born at a Wexford hospital is ANH’s first 2025 baby in greater Pittsburgh region

PITTSBURGH — A little boy became Allegheny Health Network’s first baby of 2025 in the greater Pittsburgh region.

Rachel and Mark Cunningham welcomed Luka Gold at 12:44 a.m. at AHN’s Wexford hospital.

Luka was born at 7 pounds, 12 ounces and is a little over 20 inches long.

To recognize Luka’s special birthday, the family is receiving a year of free diapers from the Western PA Diaper Bank and free swim lessons from Goldfish Swim School.

Another Pittsburgh area hospital system is also celebrating a New Year baby. UPMC welcomes its first babies of 202, at 12:10 a.m.
