An arrest warrant has been issued for Saturday’s deadly shooting in Aliquippa.
Lamar Seymour, 17, is charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of Dahvea Sparrow, 15. Sparrow was shot and killed on Main Street while leaving a party.
Beaver County District Attorney Dave Lozier made the announcement Wednesday, thanking the communities of Aliquippa and Ambridge for coming forward with information. He said both the victim and the accused were sophomores in the Aliquippa School District.
“The citizens of Ambridge and Aliquippa came forward, and they have been talking to the police, to the citizens, telling us who, what, when, where, to a degree that we have not seen in a very long time,” Lozier said.
Because of those tips and investigative police work, detectives now have a warrant out for Seymour.
On Tuesday, Lozier announced the arrest of Nasean Hunt, 18, who is charged in the death of Asaun Moreland, 15. Moreland was shot to death in Ambridge on Sunday. Lozier addressed speculation that there is a connection between the two shootings and said that right now, there is no evidence to support that.

Lozier said officials are working to bring Seymour in safely. He said Seymour is dangerous and they are working around the clock to get him behind bars.
“He is not in custody, we ask for the citizens’ help in locating him, we ask for his family to tell us where he is, to work with his lawyer and to arrange a safe surrender,” Lozier added.
Nicole Sparrow, Dahvea’s mother, spoke, saying she’s thankful the charges have been filed.
“Thanks everybody for loving my baby, that’s all I can say,” she said.
Dahvea’s family plans to fight for his justice — and held each other for emotional support during today’s news conference.
“My family has had a hole in their heart the last couple days. We loved Davhea, and miss Dahvea, and we can’t bring him back. The only thing we can ask for is justice,” his aunt, Janetha Short, said.
