BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — Beaver Valley Regional Police Department Chief Adam Johnston will be retiring after 30 years of service.
The police department announced on its Facebook that Johnston’s leadership was pivotal in the creation of Beaver County’s first regional police department in 2023 and that, under his leadership, the organization has grown into one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the county.
“Chief Johnston’s legacy will resonate for years to come,” the department said.
Johnston will be retiring at the end of 2024. Sergeant Mike Priolo will be the new chief effective on Jan. 1.
