Sub-zero wind chills, icy roads inbound Wednesday morning

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

PITTSBURGH — Icy spots will cause problems early Wednesday as wet roads refreeze. Wind chills will again drop to zero or below so layer up and plan for the cold.

We may see a few breaks in the clouds by Wednesday afternoon but unfortunately the break will not last long. The next snow maker rolls in Thursday bringing impacts to both the morning and afternoon commutes. A couple of inches of fresh snow is likely for most areas with as much as 4″ or more possible in the ridges.

A warmup will be underway as we head into the weekend, but it could come with a brief wintry mix early Saturday morning.
