PITTSBURGH — The Lombardozzi family ended years in limbo for its 49-year-old restaurant that has been closed in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and put the Liberty Avenue business and property in Bloomfield on the market for sale.
Phil Luciano, a long-time friend of the family and restaurant broker who once ran an Italian restaurant in the neighborhood himself, recently put a sign up to market the property that has long operated as Lombardozzi’s Restaurant at 4786 Liberty Ave.
The decision to sell ends months of an unknown status for the restaurant on whether it would reopen again or not. Now, the family has opted to move on.
Luciano said the decision to sell comes after a long process that pre-dates the pandemic but for which Covid-19 proved to be a contributing factor.
