Body found in Allegheny River in Downtown Pittsburgh identified

PITTSBURGH — A body was found in the Allegheny River in Downtown Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.

Pittsburgh Police said they were called to the Allegheny River near the 10th Street Bypass after someone spotted a possible body in the water.

River Rescue found a body face down in the water and paramedics confirmed that the person was dead.

The Allegheny County Coroner said that the person found in the river was 38-year-old Julie Anne Keddie.
