OHIOPYLE, Pa. — A body discovered Thursday at Ohiopyle State Park was that of a man who had fallen into the Youghiogheny River after climbing over an observation deck railing in March.
The Fayette County Coroner's Office on Friday identified the body as Michael Davila, of Carnegie.

The 20-year-old slipped on ice and fell over the 20-foot Ohiopyle Falls after climbing over the railing to have his picture taken on March 18, according to authorities. His body was found about 5 miles downstream, in the Schoolhouse Rapids area.
Officials said they contacted Davila's family to identify the body after a guide from Wilderness Voyagers made the discovery shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday while kayaking.
Search efforts at the time of the accident stretched on for several days, but were hampered by cold, rain and murky water conditions.
Davila's death was ruled a drowning by the coroner.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
