BELLE VERNON, Pa. — A Westmoreland County shopping plaza was evacuated Sunday night after someone called in a bomb threat.
According to police, the threat was called into the Belle Vernon Walmart around 7:30 p.m.
Investigators said the person said there were bombs inside the bathrooms that were scheduled to go off a short time later.
Walmart, as well as surrounding businesses, were evacuated and bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to clear the scene.
Nothing dangerous was found and the businesses reopened a short time later.
No arrests have been made, and police continue to investigate the threat.
