ZELIENOPLE, Pa. — Crews from several different departments responded to Zelienople Thursday after a woman reported seeing something floating in the Connoquenessing Creek.
Authorities said the woman was eating lunch at a pavilion outside when she called police around noon to report that she clearly saw a man’s body in the water.

Police called her tip credible, saying she described a blue flannel shirt and also said she saw skin.
Channel 11 was there as Butler County and Beaver Falls rescue teams started at the opposite end of the creek, searching the water and covering about 3 miles.
"These guys are really on the lookout for debris in the water and other issues. It's a big safety hazard to them, and it could be a potential location for a victim to get caught up on,” said Lt. Scott Garing, with the Butler County Water Rescue Team.
The crews went up and down the creek three times without finding anything, leading them to call off the search indefinitely. They said they won’t search anymore unless they get another credible tip.
Authorities said they also checked with 911 and learned there are no reports of missing men in Butler County.
