Emergency officials said an employee at one of the businesses tried to put the fire out with an extinguisher. However, the equipment did not work.
The fire then spread quickly. Firefighters were able to stop it from burning through to the rest of the connected businesses. However, one section is likely a total loss, they said.
Fire crews are still working to find out what exactly sparked the flames.
