Cambria County man found guilty of driving while under the influence of narcotics

Pennsylvania State Police

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. — A jury in Indiana County found a man guilty of his third DUI Tuesday.

Dennis Ray Giardina, 34, of Northern Cambria, was found guilty of driving under the influence of a schedule II-controlled substance, third offense, a felony of the third degree. He was also found guilty of two traffic offenses and driving on a suspended license-DUI relate

Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi Jr. said emergency crews were called to a report of a car parked in a yard on Feb. 2, 2023. Giardina was slumped over in the driver’s seat and unconscious.

It was determined Giardina had overdosed on narcotics, Manzi said. He later tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamines.

Giardina was not permitted to drive due to being suspended for a prior DUI conviction.

Giardina’s sentencing is scheduled for March 21.
