WEST HOMESTEAD, Pa. — Officials told Channel 11 News a driver was speeding down West 7th Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday when they clipped an unoccupied car, then a U-Haul van, before crashing into the Advance Auto Parts.
The entire ordeal was caught on surveillance video.

In the video a black sedan is speeding down the street — sparks flying from underneath the car — just before it slams into the front of the building, shattering through the front door and continuing well into the store until you can no longer see the car.
Police arrested Raymont Goodwine after he attempted to run from the scene. According to the criminal complaint, Goodwine took off on foot and when officers caught up with him, he resisted. Officers tased him and took him into custody.
Currently, the cause of the crash is under investigation.
“A lot of bad drivers. Not sure what he was doing or where he was going, but that’s the way the world is, everyone is in a hurry,” said West Homestead Fire Chief John Dindak.
Officials told Channel 11 News that speed played a role.
“From what we understand the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed from Duquesne into here, clipped a couple of cars and drove perfectly inside the store,” he said.
No one was inside the store at the time of the crash, and no one else was hurt.
“Thank God, it wasn’t daytime, and somebody was working in there because they would have been dead underneath that vehicle,” Dindak said.
Police told us that after speaking with employees at Advanced Auto Parts, it may be several months before the store is completely repaired.
