SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A car slammed into a Dunkin’ in Fayette County overnight, leaving behind a massive amount of damage.

It happened at the store in the 500 block of Morgantown Street in South Union Township around 12 a.m.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the driver, identified as 29-year-old Jeffrey Johnson, from Uniontown, ran from the scene on foot and was later found around two and a half miles from the crash.
Police said Johnson was under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody without further incident.
The manager told Channel 11 he’s thankful the Dunkin wasn’t open late and that his employees weren’t still there.
