PITTSBURGH — A widespread frost or freeze is expected early Friday morning so allow some extra time to scrape the windshield.

Grab the jacket as you head out, but dress in layers because temperatures will quickly jump nearly 30 degrees by the afternoon with highs back near 70.

The warming trend continues through the weekend and next week setting up some perfect outdoor weather. Head to fall festivals or the pumpkin patch during the day and enjoy the full moon. You may also catch a glimpse of a rare comet - Tuschinshan-Atlas.

Our weather will stay dry through at least the first half of next week before a cold front sweeps through sometime Wednesday. Even then, not much rain is expected as our drought situation worsens.
