CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. — People in Fayette County came out to enjoy the summer weather and have fun on the Yough River on Saturday.
The Yough River Rally is held in Connellsville every year. It began at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
Visitors could join the “Anything That Floats Race” which is one of the main events held at the rally.
“The Anything That Floats Race is where you can make a boat out of anything other than a boat,” said Ron Haggerty. “We have some unique designs that they’ll make boats out of.”
The winner and the person with the most unique design for their boat get prizes.
Visitors could also participate in a duck race. The prize for the duck race was $10,000 which would be split among the top three finishers.
Money made during the Yough River Rally goes towards the GB Fish Club, Connellsville Recreation Board, and Connellsville Festival Association.
