PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh firefighters were busy Friday evening as they were called to two house fires that happened within a block of each other.
Allegheny County dispatchers said firefighters were first called to the 7300 block of Race Street at 8:55 p.m.
Signs on that house indicated it was condemned.
Shortly after, they were called to the intersection of Idlewild Street and Sterret Street, just a block away from the first scene.
The fire on Idlewild Street was raised to two alarms.
Flames are visibly burning out of the top of the house.
As of 11:45 p.m., there were no reported injuries.
There is no confirmation at this time as to whether the fires are connected.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
