The fire reached three alarms before the flames were under control.
“We had heavy fire from the very beginning we had crews try to push in there, we’re unable to push in due to the heavy fire load in the house. We had to back back out and we had a good defensive,” said Churchill fire chief Ralph Zatlin.
Crews believe that the fire started in the back of the house, but investigators are still working to confirm the cause of the fire.
