Austin Sorochman was inside the house when he heard the gunfire.
“I rushed over to my desk, where my phone was, and I called 911. My father and my stepmom ran downstairs,” he said.
After the gunshots, the teens started screaming. The boy ran into the home, and the girl took off down the street.
At first, it was unclear how badly the teens were hurt.
“He started rushing in and saying ‘I’m hit,’ and he sat there holding his chest,” Sorochman said.
Sorochman told us the teens are expected to make a full recovery, and that he is still shaken by what unfolded on the front porch.
“It’s very scary. It’s not something you should take lightly at all. I very grateful that he survived,” he said
An Allegheny County Police Department spokesperson said detectives are investigating if this was a random or targeted shooting.
