FOREST HILLS, Pa. — Witnesses say a driver crashed a truck into a building and drove away moments before police arrived.

At around 3:30 a.m. Monday, people say they woke up to a loud noise. When they looked outside, they saw a truck sticking out of their building at the corner of Ardmore Boulevard and Sumner Avenue. The impact pushed bricks right into Fazio’s Hair Designs.

“My living room and his living room are right over the accident site,” said DeVar Ferguson. “I felt the impact. He said that he heard like a brake screech and when he looked out over his balcony he seen the actual truck stuck in the building and someone flee.”

A man told Channel 11 that he saw a man exit the truck and run off on foot up the hill, only to return to the truck and drive off in it.

“You would think from this impact that the truck wouldn’t be drivable,” said Ferguson.

At this time, police have not identified the driver and have not said if any charges will be filed.
