PENN HILLS, Pa. — A person was rescued from a crash in Penn Hills early Saturday morning.

Penn Hills volunteer firefighters say they were dispatched to the 400 block of Thompson Run Road at 2:30 a.m. for a reported vehicle over a hillside with someone trapped inside.

First responders arrived to find a vehicle off the road and on its side, and the driver unresponsive. A photo shared by firefighters shows the crashed vehicle on its side, behind thick brush.

The driver was stabilized, then brought up the hillside in a rescue basket and taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver’s current condition is not known.
