DuBOIS, Pa. (AP) — Residents in central Pennsylvania are cleaning up after severe thunderstorms swept through the region, causing flooding, damaging homes and forcing evacuations.
No serious injuries were immediately reported from Thursday night's storms. Rescues were made.

"We had to have several rescue teams with boats assist in the rescues because of quick moving water and swift currents," said Tracy Zents, the Jefferson County emergency management director. "The emergency response crews did an outstanding job in making sure that everyone was safe.
In Dubois, the rains caused the evacuation of a Hampton Inn and people were moved to a high school.
In Centre County, emergency officials say a home partially collapsed outside of Pine Grove Mills when flooding damaged its foundation. Officials say residents escaped with minor injuries. In State College, eight apartments in the Marvin Gardens had to be evacuated.
