MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A Duquesne man accused of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend has been taken into custody, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
On Dec. 9, Deondrae Huff was charged after police said he fired shots at a car with his ex-girlfriend inside in Hopewell Township, Beaver County. The woman was not injured.
Following the shooting, the woman got a PFA against Huff.
On Tuesday morning, detectives learned Huff was inside a home along Lee Street in McKeesport. Just before 8 p.m., authorities approached the house and saw people inside. Huff then ran toward the back door.
Authorities forced entry into the house and took Huff into custody. He was taken to the Allegheny Jail.
He’s facing several charges including attempted homicide and attempted aggravated assault.
Huff has been a fugitive since Nov. 20 when he didn’t show up in Beaver County court for a plea and sentencing.
