Man dies after being hit by vehicle on McKnight Road

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on McKnight Road in Ross Township.

Berkley Hills Fire Company said they were called to the area of McKnight Road and Nelson Run.

It happened at around 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

As of 11:00 p.m., the southbound lanes of McKnight Road remain closed between Babcock Blvd and Ivory Avenue. The northbound lanes are restricted to one lane of traffic from West View Avenue.

Police say the man was attempting to cross the road near the Inn Town Suites when the vehicle hit and killed him.

A vehicle was still on the scene when Channel 11 arrived. Both its front and rear windows were smashed.

A single shoe was also seen on the road.

The name and age of the victim have not been released at this time.
