PITTSBURGH — A busy ramp in Downtown Pittsburgh was closed for roughly nine hours Monday so a large pothole could be repaired.
A PennDOT official told Channel 11 around 6:30 a.m. that crews were responding to fix a large pothole on the ramp from Crosstown Boulevard to Boulevard of the Allies and the Parkway East.
Crews poured new concrete to fix the hole. This weekend, PennDOT says they will close the ramp to make the fix permanent.
A Channel 11 crew could see the hole from underneath the ramp.
Traffic was forced to continue onto the Liberty Bridge while crews made the repairs. The ramp reopened around 3:30 p.m.
