PITTSBURGH — Traffic was at a standstill as a few dozen supporters and family members of Peter Spencer marched through the streets of the city.
“That’s what we want justice for a life. My life your life it’s invaluable. You don’t have a right to take it,” said Conrad Spencer, Peter’s father.
Peter Spencer’s father and brother are among a group of supporters looking to Venango County for answers.
“The girl that died in the tragic uber accident the suspect in her murder was put out two days later. You saw his picture you put it out, but now two months later they still don’t,” said Spencer’s brother Tehilah.
Tehilah is frustrated. His brother was shot and killed while on a hunting trip in Venango County with a former co-worker in December. While the other people there were questioned, no one was charged.
“They’ve been telling us four to six weeks they will get back ballistic reports and toxicology, but it’s been eight weeks going on longer than that and we haven’t heard back. They told us to be patient and we have been patient,” Tehilah Spencer said.
So each step on the city streets is another step toward justice for Tehilah and his family. He’s hopeful that by continuing to chant his brother’s name and speak his story, his family will soon have closure.
“He was hustling everyday trying to get to his American dream in any way he can whether it’s helping those who are homeless, helping someone up whos down. He’s done it all,” Tehilah Spencer said.
The last update we received from the Venango District Attorney was at the end of January. He told Channel 11 more information would be coming in four to six weeks. He did not answer our request for comment on Monday.
