Man found not guilty in deadly shooting outside Fayette County restaurant

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man charged with killing someone in the parking lot of a Fayette County restaurant has been found not guilty.

A jury acquitted Justin Rittacco Wednesday for the May 2020 shooting that happened outside the Long John Silver’s on Morgantown Road in South Union Township.

Robert Lukehart, 39, was killed.

Investigators believed Rittacco killed Lukehart for blocking him in the parking lot, but Rittacco claimed Lukehart was threatening him, so he fired in self defense.
