HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A FedEx driver is accused of stealing from his own delivery truck.

According to a criminal complaint, a Greensburg man who had ordered a new iPhone told police he believed his order had been stolen.

State Police contacted FedEx and learned the driver was Mohammad Alshamasin.

FedEx security learned Alshamasin had other packages go missing from his truck in the past. They reported missing Apple Air Pods and and Apple Watch.

Troopers set up an undercover operation where they planted an Apple iPhone 15 in his delivery truck. Investigators confronted Alshamasin after FedEx personnel took inventory and found that the planted phone was missing.

Court documents say the missing phone was found in his backpack.

Alshamasin is being held at the Westmoreland County Prison with a bail set at $10,000.
