HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pitt-Greensburg student was hit by a vehicle in Hempfield Township on Tuesday evening.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the student was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and University Drive at 5:45 p.m.
The driver and the vehicle stayed on scene.
The victim was flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment. Her condition is not known at this time.
The University of Pittsburgh gave Channel 11 the following statement:
“A Pitt-Greensburg student has been transported to UPMC Presbyterian after being hit by a car near the front entrance to the Pitt-Greensburg campus. The student’s parents have been notified, and counseling and Residence Life staff are available to students at this time.”
Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
