Firefighters battle early-morning trailer blaze along Pennsylvania Turnpike

Firefighters put out a blaze in the trailer of a semi-truck early Monday morning.

The Wexford Volunteer Fire Company responded to put out a fire in a refrigerator trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It took around two hours to extinguish the flames.

Photos posted by the department show heavy flames and thick, black smoke coming out the back of the trailer. Once the fire was out, photos show that part of the trailer appeared to have melted from the heat.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
