Jeanette firefighters were called to Agnew Road in Jeannette Monday afternoon.
The fire chief said flames quickly spread to the house after the car caught on fire.
When firefighters arrived at the scene a large column of black smoke was pouring from the house.
Recent renovations to the house created some spots that were difficult for firefighters to get to.
There were no reported injuries.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control before the building was fully destroyed.
Pennsylvania State Police and the Westmoreland County Fire Marshal are investigating.
