PITTSBURGH — A flight diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport on Tuesday morning because of a possible lightning strike.
An American Airlines official tells Channel 11 that a flight traveling to Boston from Columbus diverted to Pittsburgh as a precaution after experiencing a possible lightning strike shortly after takeoff.
The official says the flight landed around 8 a.m. without incident and taxied to the gate on its own power. Passengers are being swapped onto another plane to complete their trip to Boston.
