INDIANA, Pa. — A Florida man who led troopers on a pursuit in Indiana County while under the influence has been sentenced.

Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi announced Brandon Rosenberger, 35, of St. Petersburg, Florida, was sentenced to between one and five years in a state prison.

Rosenberger pleaded guilty to DUI of a controlled substance and feeling an officer back in November.

The charges stem from a March 2024 incident where state troopers assigned to the IUPatty’s detail tried to stop a speeding vehicle, but a pursuit began. Rosenberger eventually stopped the vehicle, then ran from police and was taken into custody after a taser deployment.

Police said Rosenberger was under the influence of methamphetamine and was believed to have been awake for five days.

“This incident started as a routine traffic stop for speeding and the defendant quickly escalated it into a felony fleeing while DUI situation. The defendant placed the members of the Pennsylvania State Police, members of our community and himself in grave danger,” Manzi said. “The State Troopers involved in this matter placed themselves at risk in order to protect our community and I thank them for their brave efforts. There is no place on the road for any driver to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.”
