Fox Chapel man found guilty of killing two men, sentenced to two consecutive life sentences

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — A Fox Chapel man who was charged with the deaths of two men was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences on Friday.

According to his attorney Casey White, Adam Rosenberg pleaded guilty to the charges but claimed mental illness.

Rosenberg pleaded guilty to killing 28-year-old Jeremy Dentel and 28-year-old Christian Moore-Rouse.

Investigators found that Dentel and Rosenberg had been communicating on a dating app prior to Dentel’s murder.

According to a criminal complaint, the men had been messaging each other in the days and minutes before the shooting. Rosenberg asked the victim if he lived alone, then repeatedly asked to meet up until Dentel agreed to have him over.

Ammunition found in Rosenberg’s bedroom matched the ammunition recovered in Dentel’s home, police said.

Moore-Rouse’s remains were found near Rosenberg’s home in March 2020.

Moore-Rouse was last seen near a Dollar Tree store on Rodi Road in Penn Hills before he went missing.

Moore-Rouse’s mother told Channel 11 that he was friends with Rosenberg — the two men went to the Community College of Allegheny County together, and said her son had visited Rosenberg at his Fox Chapel house before.

Rosenberg was already in jail for Dentel’s murder when Moore-Rouse’s remains were found.
