GREENSBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Game Commission tranquilized a bear Tuesday morning on a Westmoreland County golf course.
The Game Commission set a trap at the Mount Odin Park golf course in Greensburg, and Tuesday morning a worker discovered the bear.
A group of Girl Scouts is spending the week at the course, and a parent encountered the bear.
“One of the mothers was coming out of the bathroom, and I guess he didn’t get lunch,” course superintendent Tom Bell said.
The 110-pound bear was tranquilized, but is OK. It will be relocated in a more remote area.
The Game Commission said the bear was first spotted a few months ago in Jeanette.
